Genesis and inspirations

This is the final piece of furniture in the series, echoing the iconic, organic shape of the low-back chair’s seat, which premiered in 2015.

Rescaling and changing the material turned out to be instrumental in creating the perfect hoker or bar stool, which, despite its compact dimensions, offers backrest comfort similar to that of a regular chair. The soft, organic lines of the seat exude warmth. The honker contrasts perfectly with the geometry of the kitchen island or table top.

The Oyster is lightweight, easy to carry and durable. The uniqueness of its design originates from the excellent support for the back. Despite its streamlined form and compact dimensions, the Oyster has an inclination towards the back, in the buttock region, which clearly adds confidence and comfort to the seated person.

In addition, its backrest, even if delicate and subtle, creates a very comfortable support for the back. The occupant can sit on the Oyster very comfortably in a leaning position, fully relaxed, resting the feet on the steel crossbar, without any concerns over balance. This is a unique feature for this type of furniture, and yet is of great importance, especially in the higher office version. The Oyster comes in two seat heights. The lower version is designed for home use, as a stool at the countertop or kitchen island. The higher version, on the other hand, is recommended for use in offices. The seat is made of polyester resin casting, and is extremely durable, offering long service life and safety. The chair is upholstered with durable high-resilience foam. The base is made of a steel tube bent in several axes. The chair comes in standard RAL and Sahara collection colours.
