Genesis and inspirations
The body of the chair can be combined with various base types, depending on the needs. In the most spectacular version, the legs, made of moulded, flame retardant polyester foam, are integrally upholstered with the covering. With the available swivel bases made of moulded aluminium and powder-coated steel, the chair can also be used in office spaces, such as conference rooms and reception areas. Fully upholstered legs turn the chair into a distinctive interior feature, which will perfectly match most types of tables and dining tables.
The Ripple chair is the first fully moulded product in our collection. The innovative technology of immersing its steel structure in a foam mould made it possible to create the distinctive variant with soft, foam legs. The same structure is used to install swivel bases. Even many years on, the complex upholstery of this chair requires an immense effort, exceptional skills and diligence of the most professional upholsterers. In 2019, we improved the comfort of the backrest, which is now definitely softer and better adapts to the body.
The version with a five-point base on wheels is additionally equipped with a height adjustment mechanism. With this, Ripple can become an original feature of the home workplace. Regardless of the base type, Ripple has an extra, soft cushion permanently sewn in, which enhances the comfort qualities of the chair, both in visual and practical terms.
Ripple is also available in versions that combine various types of fabric and leather, with which a more sophisticated effect can be achieved.
