Ume at the exhibition "It's a Polish thing: New Design from Polska"

23rd of May 2017; Ume Armchair designed by Maja Ganszyniec for Comforty was featured during Seoul Handmadefair at the exhibition "It's a Polish thing: New Design from Polska" curated by Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka.

Selected objects were assigned by the curator to the three main threads that can be perceived in the Polish contemporary design. Like in the mid XX century, contemporary designers seek to find a symbiosis between the cumulation of the technologies, rarely skills and craft with the nature. The key to the exposition was a balanced representation of these three: nature as an inspiration and the fabric of the slow life, arts and crafts, refferences to the modern design of the 50's and 60's.

The most important fileds of the design perceived in one of these three threads, were represented by the latest examples of the furniture, ceramis, fabrics, glass, lighting and other objects of daily use.
