Genesis and inspirations

The backrest offers refined elasticity and dynamically adapts to the user’s body. The furniture is lightweight and easy to arrange. No part of its structure is permanently fixed to foam. This facilitates recycling as well as renders resource management and production planning more economical. Zulu’s functionality and quality are determined by connecting points between carefully chosen foam layers and components.

Its original form and compact dimensions make this design ideal for both home and office spaces. The armchair is equipped with a retractable stabilising element. It prevents it from tipping over, for example during children’s frolics. Welt in a contrasting colour can be optionally ordered to underline the character of this product. It looks best in cotton fabrics, which emphasise the curves and softness of its form.

Zulu draws on classic foam furniture from the turn of the 1970s. Its silhouette sometimes evokes apt associations with the motorisation era, when the car seat was a uniform couch with an integrated backrest. This stylistic choice is a subtle reference to iconic experimental designs. All of this to preserve the originality and freshness of form, while saying something new in the field of the structure, function and other parameters of furniture made entirely of foam.
