Genesis and inspirations
Mellow Work reiterates the original design of Mellow, but its new, raised base made of tubular steel lends the product more lightness and balances well the upholstered body – spacious enough to offer more qualities and functionalities useful in the office, such as ensuring user’s acoustic comfort and accommodating additional functions: hangers, 230 V electricity socket, USB ports.
The robust backrest and extended side panels offer users a sense of calm and privacy, time for oneself or to concentrate on one’s task. A major feature of this product extension are its improved acoustic properties. Mellow Work functions perfectly in vast open spaces, especially owing to its two high backrest versions to choose from – 120 and 130 cm. The width of Mellow Work is also extended for a comfortable, prolonged use. Raised on steel legs for more practicality, Mellow Work is equipped with a writing top for work on a mobile device as well as a charger and an electric socket. Owing to these modifications, Mellow Work can function as a fully independent workplace in office or coworking spaces. The well-considered position of the Kondator brand socket allows for plugging two devices at the same time: one charged with 230 V electricity current, the other charged through USB-C or mini-USB. Carefully adapted to the ergonomics of the body, the writing top allows for focussed work and supporting one’s arm. The armchair is available in versions for right-handed and left- handed users. The depth of the seat regulated with cushions allows for changing position and adopting a desired body posture, even during longer work sessions. The modified backrest and sides have an improved acoustic function and separate the user from the surroundings, while preserving the open and inviting character of the design. The carefully considered shape of the top allows for comfortable and unhampered sitting without posing threat to equipment used on the writing top, which easily accommodates a laptop, telephone and additional accessories.
Loose backrest cushions in Mellow Work differ in their structure from the standard version. Their filling is slightly more robust and more clearly defined, which allows for adopting a more comfortable body posture while working. The small cushion may also be used to shorten the surface of the seat. A bag can also be hanged within reach.

Mellow Work is available in two heights. Tubular legs are available in standard colours from the RAL and the Comforty Sahara palette.
